Hexicon recruits within project development for floating wind power
Hexicon, a leading technology and project developer in floating wind farms, continues to expand its team with the aim of developing its project portfolio and strengthening its global position. Bertrand Dumas, formerly part of the management team at Ideol, holds the position as Project Director for the TwinWay Project, and Ulrik Horn, most recently at Vattenfall, has joined as Senior Manager.
As the global transition towards renewable energy continues, Hexicon sees an increasing amount of project opportunities both in Sweden and globally. In 2021, Hexicon will present several new initiatives, which is why the organisation is now strengthened with additional expertise within floating wind power and renewable energy.

Bertrand has extensive experience in leading full-scale floating wind projects from start-up to operational facility, which will be an extremely important resource in the future. Ulrik has a solid background in the industry and a wide range of disciplines, both technical and commercial, and will assist with the strategic development of our project portfolio in a wider role", says Marcus Thor, CEO.
Previously Bertrand Dumas was the Chief Project Officer at French Ideol where he was part of the management team and led several major projects in floating wind power, including Floatgen, the demo project for France's first floating wind turbine. Prior to that, he has worked in the offshore Oil and Gas business (Technip FMC, Geoservices), and as head of project department at Nereides. He assumes the role as Project Director for Hexiconâs TwinWay Project in Norway.
Ulrik Horn most recently held the position as Senior Wind Resource Analyst at Vattenfall, where he has worked with three wind power projects. Before that, he has been at Renewables & Energy Strategy and Watty in Sweden, DNV in the UK, and WindSim AS in Norway.
"In a phase where we will accelerate our project development offering and expand into new markets, the expertise and competence that exists in the organisation are absolutely central. Therefore, we are now strengthening it further", Marcus Thor concludes.
After the new recruitments, Hexicon consists of 18 employees with world-leading expertise in technology and project development of floating wind power and several joint venture agreements with local engineering or development companies.
